The Society of Professional Consultants is an organization for independent consultants, solo professionals, and people considering becoming consultants. The purpose of SPC is to provide support and benefits to help our members build and maintain successful consulting practices. Our membership is limited to solo consultants and business owners.
All of our membership levels offer the following core benefits:
Regular membership: SPC membership is available to consultants and solo professionals. New members are eligible for three mentoring sessions during their first year of membership. Annual dues are $225.
Associate membership: Associate membership is available to first-year consultants and academics. This membership level includes one mentoring session. Associate members can upgrade to regular membership after one year. First year dues are $95.
ACE affiliate membership: Members of the Association for Consulting Expertise (ACE) in Maine may join the SPC as an affiliate member. ACE affiliates receive all SPC core member benefits. Annual dues are $75 in addition to your ACE membership dues. To join as an affiliate, complete the SPC membership application form and process your payment on the SPC Web site.
If you're an SPC member who would like to become an affiliate member of ACE, you can apply for membership on the ACE Web site.
Our 3-step membership process:
The SPC offers members the opportunity to be included in the SPC public member directory which will offer businesses the ability to directly search for consulting assistance using our website. Once you are accepted as a member, you can edit your membership profile to indicate the information you want to share on our website.
Having your own website is not required for participation on the SPC website. Your listing will include a contact link so potential clients may communicate with you.
SPC members are entitled to free consultations and discounted rates offered by other SPC members. Our Member-to-Member exchange is an opportunity to promote your business within the SPC. The exchange is in our Members-Only section and is not viewable by the public.
