Thought Leadership in a Virtual World: Speaking, Storytelling, and Publishing

The transition from in-person to virtual events has changed how to position yourself as an expert. On Wednesday, November18th, we’ll have a panel discussion about the best ways to use speaking, storytelling, and publishing to become a go-to authority in a virtual world.

Steve Markman of Markman Speaker Management will show you how to find virtual speaking engagements that will boost your visibility and credibility. Greg Stone of Stone Communications will teach you storytelling techniques that will keep your virtual audience engaged. Ken Lizotte of emerson consulting group will explain why writing articles and books will give you the “Expert’s Edge”.

Here’s what our panelists will cover during the workshop:

Speaking – increase your visibility in a virtual world and position yourself as a go-to expert

  • Learn how to research and identify the “right” speaking opportunities
  • Find out how and when to submit speaker proposals to event organizers
  • Discover how to create high-impact and compelling speaker proposals that get accepted

Storytelling – how to deliver powerful virtual presentations that engage your remote audience

  • Learn how to tell a captivating story using the villains, victims, and heroes model
  • Find out how to translate compelling messages into narratives
  • Understand why the villain is your best friend in business storytelling

Publishing – become the go-to authority by writing books and publishing articles

  • Learn effective strategies for writing and publishing a book
  • Hear about a proven method for getting articles published every time
  • Identify follow-up business development actions that even seasoned authors forget

You’ll come away with immediately actionable steps for getting speaking gigs, telling better business stories, and getting books and articles published.
