Bio
Patrice Davis is the founder and CEO of Grants Works, a government grant consulting company based in Atlanta, Georgia. Grants Works’ services include grant consulting, grant management, and federal grant management training.
Patrice became adept at managing multimillion dollar government grants in various roles at large and emerging nonprofit organizations including The Carter Center and Boys & Girls Clubs of America. She was also a research program manager at Georgia Institute of Technology where she managed private sector and government grants in the College of Computing.
Patrice was a public health analyst at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and, in that role, she also reviewed compliance elements of research grant continuation applications.
Patrice has managed federal grants as a recipient, subrecipient and pass-through entity.
She serves on the Thompson Grants Advisory Board, has led training in partnership with Instrumentl and Thompson Information Services and her speaking engagements include sharing insight about public sector funding for various audiences including conference attendees, university professors, podcast listeners, and community health program directors.
Grants Works develops and delivers customized on demand and in-person training on federal grant management and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive Approved Continuing Education Provider.
She has a Master’s degree in environmental policy and management from University of Denver and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Morgan State University.
She is a member of the National Grants Management Association, Grant Professionals Association, Georgia Grant Professionals Association, and Atlanta Black Chambers.
Outside of grants, she has several interests. She is the host of the Age Has No Limit podcast, loves international travel, enjoys international fiction, and is a resistance training and Vinyasa yoga enthusiast.
